Don't waste your money by NOT buying a Furnace Engineering Pottery Kiln

• This range of kilns is designed with a BREATHING WALL so moist can't be trapped as is the case with a pressed or folded metal cabinet , all our panels are made from aluminized steel which give the best protection against corrosion , on our larger kilns the roof panel is made from stainless steel , as some potters use Sodium Silicate which evaporate and collect under the roof panel. Our kiln panels are just cosmetic and don't give any structural strength to the kiln , which is provide by a rigid steel frame.
• To retain our fiber insulation in the kiln frame we use only full refractory anchors , as the often used stainless steel pins which are welded inside the metal cabinet can brake loose from corrosion.
• For out HOT FACE lining we only use 1440 degrees C insulation blanket backed up by 1220 degrees C blanket. With a total wall thickness of 5 or 6 inch we promise a minimum heat loss and maximum efficiency.
• The kiln frames are manufactured from mild steel and have an open lower frame for easy fork hoist lifting. The door can be lifted from it's hinges and is fitted with a clamping mechanism. The whole kiln is sprayed in etch primer before a industrial finish coat is applied.
• Large ceramic venting spy holes with bungs ensure that orton cones are readily seen and moisture is evaporated quickly.
• Fast Heating - Due to low mass , the kiln can be heated and cooled as rapidly as the ware or load being fired can stand.
• Low Heat storage - Refractory fiber linings store approximately 95% less heat than insulation fire brick , giving you less heat loss during each firing. That's an energy saving measure which is very important these days. The important property of low heat storage means that the heat up and cool down stages of a furnace or kiln operating cycle can be greatly accelerated.
